Castle Leslie in Ireland is known for the marriage between Heather Mills and Paul McCartney in 2002. However, the alliance of the famous couple is not what makes the hotel so frightening. The haunted castle has been in the Leslie family for over 300 years. It has been said dead Leslie aunts and uncles have been seen along with a dog named Punch.
Castle Stuart in Scotland is known for things that go bump in the night. The Stuart family claims the east tower is haunted and has been since the 1700s. The story involves the Earl of Moray who was looking for someone to spend the night in the east tower to prove it was not haunted. He even asked a minister to offer an award. Big Angus, the local poacher who claimed to not be afraid of anything took up the challenge. The next morning, his body was found in the courtyard with a horror stricken face. It isn't certain if he jumped, was pushed or had a little too much whiskey.
Romania is full of blood-thirsty history. Located in Transylvania, what is known as Dracula's Castle is actually Castle Bran.
