Very interesting information. I can still remember seeing a documentary about the Atacama desert and it is truly amazing how the plants can survive there. It is really a delicate balance and something truly unique that can only be experienced in Chile.

Chile is truly one of the most enchanting places on earth. I was there briefly for a few days. I fly air ambulance in a lear jet and we were waiting for a scientist to be brought to us from the antarctic. I will never forget the experience.
